X - Nothing wrong with having diversity in the server room, but do it for the right reasons. Do it because the product works well as a solution to the problem.
That's not what the CCIA is arguing. They're trying to apply a biology argument towards computers, which is a terrible analogy and they really have to strain to make it fit. You may not believe this, but companies are willing to lie, steal, cheat and publish incredibly biased articles about their competitors in order to sell product. That's what the CCIA did here.
kabuki - I don't care who uses pine. Although for the record, I used to use pine years ago.
I was responding to a claim that this could never happen on Linux/Unix/OSX because it's morally superior. That claim is false. The fact is, it can happen, and it has happened.
