To most of us technology is a tool, with that said you should always use the best tool of the job. Of course factoring in prices, portability, accessibility and ease of use. Of all the products that Microsoft makes I can't imagine that one of them doesn't meet your needs. Price is clearly not an issue since you can easily gain access through your “street” connections.
Reading your post implies that this is more of a personal thing. Little school girls take things personal also.
