DOOM 3 Xbox Preview

Activision and id Software have had the Xbox version of their hit first person shooter DOOM 3 in the works for a while now, and they're set to release it in less than two months. I got the chance to play a nearly-finished version of the game and I've got to say that they've done an excellent job taking a game so packed with smooth action and great visuals and stuffing it into the Xbox. Sure, Microsoft's console is the most powerful one out there, but it's still got a fraction of the power of a modern PC; its 733MHz processor, 64MB of RAM, and slightly-turbocharged GeForce 3 surprisingly runs DOOM 3 with most of the PC version's detail and at a respectable frame rate too.
