Linux Kernel To Be Re-Written To Counter Microsoft FUD | |

IBM, Intel, the Open Source Development Labs, and other industry lights are planning to announce that a consortium has been created that will rewrite the components in the Linux kernel that have been found to tread on other people's IP - or at least the 27 Microsoft patents that Linux is supposed to infringe. The aim? To rob Microsoft of the ability to scare customers off of Linux by saying that the operating system is a patent infringer, informed sources say. "Operation Open Gates" as they are calling it is reportedly going to be unveiled on January 25. | ||

I am so over this Limux bs. We all know that Limus Termial reversed engineered BDS while in college because he was too cheap to pay for it. Then he and a group of loser apologist started the open sours movement.
My advice…if you want a good os, download it from the web. |

| Microsoft doesn’t produce FUD. Perhaps they did in the 20th century. Today they don’t have to, being the 800 pound gorilla. We live in a time where there is a cultural mindset that Microsoft will stomp any company or product at will. If Linux code infringes on MS patents then the Linux gurus should correct it and admit they screwed up, not claim that MS will beat them up for the LInux thefts, unwitting or otherwise. |
