Regardless of the release schedule for WinFS, it's incredible the lack of understanding in the mainstream press... and even in some technical publications.
WinFS is MUCH more than a fast way to search through the filesystem. It's a way of storing unlimited and extensible meta data which will really change the way we use our computers. There is nothing even remotely like it out there right now. |

I'm sorry, but I can't help but see yet another way for exploiters to get into Windows with this.
Power + Flexibility = Exploitability. History has shown us that much. |

#6 - So what do you suggest? We could always go back to Lynx web browsing and terminal based computing.
The solution to problems introduced by necessary complexity is not to do away with the innovation. |
