MusicMatch has just released a new version 7.0 of its well known Jukebox MP3/WMA/CD player. This new release comes packed with a bunch of new features including:

I think it is a freebie upgrade, for people who have purchased previous versions of MusicMatch Plus. Go to http://www.musicmatch.com/download/free/?os=pc&did=999990944 and you'll see that all you have to do is download the basic version to upgrade the Plus (as your plus version has the key installed already, the new version will use this key also)
Also check on http://www.musicmatch.com/download/plus/jukebox_intro.htm?os=pc&BTD=1 and below the big graphic, you'll see a line that says, "If you have already purchased a key for our Plus version, click here." |

I don't know if I ever bought the free lifetime upgrades thing or not. I registered Musicmatch back at version 4, and there was only one option... free or upgrade.
I have had some problems with musicmatch in the past where it would hang when going from one song to the next. Those problems were really only in the version 5.x series and went away with 6.x. I prefer the way Musicmatch handles it's library and playlists better than any other one out there. It's a good product. My only complaint is really with CDDB. I wish people who were entering CD information would take the time to make it correct. I frequently have to go back in and edit artist and song title information to correct misspellings. Or the one that really bugs me... to make them consistent between two discs from the same set. There also doesn't appear to be a way to submit corrections to CDDB... once they are in there, they are in there for life. |
