Netscape takes aim at pop-ups, spam | |

Netscape Communications on Monday announced products designed to help customers of its Internet service block pop-ups and spam, as well as scan e-mail for viruses. Additionally, the technology allows customers to surf the Internet at speeds of up to five times faster than they could over a standard dial-up connection, according to Netscape, which is a division of Time Warner's America Online unit. | ||

| Mozilla has been handling the popups for quite some time. I am surprised to hear that they just added that to Netscape. Oh well. |

If you guys haven't tried FireFox, you should. It's an excellent browser.
Just as good as IE in rendering almost everything, plus tabbed browsing, plus it's fairly obscure so any security holes in it aren't being exploited. |
