A supercomputer built by Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University from 1,100 dual-processor Macintosh G5 PCs looks likely to rank with the five fastest machines in the world, despite costing a relative pittance.

Is there some reason that Mac information keeps appearing on this page? I am really not interesting in this information and I thought that is why the Active Mac page was created.

If you are not interested in it, then do not click the news article, plain and simple. Is that too hard to do?
This isn't a "Mac article". It's an article about A Mac setup being one of the 5 most powerful machines in the world.

I agree with you #1. Take this article out of here, warp 10. LOL

CPU, hmm, "It's an article about A Mac..." that makes it a Mac article by definition. If it looks like a Mac, and smells like a Mac, then it belongs on ActiveMac not ActiveWin.

There's a diff between squirming and saying something, like this article, is offtopic. Nice bias on your part though.
ION, I'm installing severn to see if I have better luck with it than with 9.1.

I just had a Big Mac... mighty tasty!
Washed it down with a Coke, and a Hot Apple pie for dessert!
Yum yum, and cost me a lot less than a G5.

Bob: You can not take things out of context, which you did by only qouting me partially.
The fact is, this is a general computing article, and an interesting piece of information... just because it is not on standard PC hardware doesn't mean it should not be posted.

Interesting article. I would have never stumbled upon it if it weren't here. Keep up the good work.

Even if it had 99 mentions of Windows and Microsoft and only 1 of Apple/Mac - Bob and the others would still moan.

Well, in general, PCs are not considered to be super computers (and yes, the Mac is a PC).
Maybe you should have a site ActiveComputing.com that posts all the news so those of us who want it all in one page can have it, and keep the whiners out.
Seriously, if you see a title that you don't want to read... why the heck are CLICKING on it? It just makes no sense. Just move on and don't read the article.
