Dell A02 ROM Posted for Axim PocketPC | |

Dell has released ROM version A02 for the Axim PocketPCs.
You can download the update directly from Dell's FTP (27.2 MB) or by searching their Support Page. Detailed installation instructions are also available at the Support Page. | ||

I'm going to try later on (probably a few hours from now). The update automatically performs a hard reset upon completion, so that can't be avoided.
You can check the forum at PocketPCThoughts.com (linked in the headline) for other people's experiences and data backup tips. A couple of people have had luck using the trial version of Pocket Backup, while others used Dell's Backup utility and ActiveSync's backup with mixed results. |

Daz ...no problem at all. In fact I installed it the first time it came out. I know that it's been a long time since I've posted here, but I have been busy with our own site called Aximusers.com.

Upgrade went ok. Restore in progress.
JXP, try hard resetting your PPC before you initiate the upgrade so it resets to the factory defaults. Also, make sure that your current ROM is A00. Update: Restore also went well. This post was edited by n4cer on Friday, April 11, 2003 at 07:18. |
