Microsoft Corp said on Tuesday it had asked the U.S. Supreme Court to reconsider an appeals court ruling that the company abused its monopoly in personal computer operating systems. In a separate legal filing, Microsoft also asked a federal appeals court to delay an order that would send the case back to a lower court to determine what remedies should be imposed against the company to prevent future antitrust violations. The appeal to the Supreme Court comes less than a week after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia rejected Microsoft's request to re-examine part of its ruling in the landmark antitrust case against the firm.
