Neowin |
Posted By: Byron Hinson |
Thanks go out to the two people who let us know that Neowin is back at least front page and forum wise. We thought it only fair to post this as we stated that they were closing (after what they posted on their frontpage, as it didn't read too clearly to us the first time). We would also like to do this to show that we have accepted an apology from one of their members of staff about what happened here a few months ago. We still vehemently deny taking news from any site without giving credit, if this has been the case then we would like to be informed of these kinds of things so we can defend ourselves.
We would like to add that any posts bringing up this old news will be removed as we would like to go back to the way the site was before all this happened those months ago.

Let this be a new era in cooperation and kinship.
It's nice to have friendly rivalries about who posted what first, but let's just keep it at that... friendly rivalries.

That whole episode was probably a publicity stunt...

I used to like that site, with the four months or so I knew about it. Now I will most likely never return, the site operators have left such a sour taste in my mouth with all this childish bickering. Especially the posts by NeoBond. I like the look of it and there forums, but I refuse to support such childish behavior, sorry guys, but when you grow up I may return.

I was stating my opinion. I may not like it and that is fine, what does that have to do with being grownup. The information at NeoWin can be found in 50 other places, I will frequent them because I dislike morons running a site. The same reason I do not go to Toms Hardware anymore, he may have good reviews and info, but it can be found elsewhere. Why should I support a site when I feel the Admin is a moron. Just like your comment was not all that brilliant, so I could choose to ignore you. See I am a free mind and I can chose where to go and when to go there, as well as who to listen to and whom not to listen to. And one question for you AquaJack, why the hell would you care enough if I visit a site that you felt the need to comment to me? You could not just sit there and say, oh the guy has a point and I do not agree with it. Instead you have to comment on if I am childish or not because I chose not to go to a site because I do not like the admins attitude. Sorry but it burns my bubble when someone tries to push there views on me. I stated an opinion, not a suggestion to other not to visit. No good day sir.

This morning (UK time) there were 5, no one has censored anything. I think you may have been looking at the wrong comments list OpenZine. We've never censored anyone apart from swearing.

Openzine, maybe you should learn how to read?
"We would like to add that any posts bringing up this old news will be removed as we would like to go back to the way the site was before all this happened those months ago."
And secondly, this thread has never had more than the existing posts that you see here (6 or 7).
Censorship has not been seen here either. (they do eliminate links to warez and swearing)

Yeah sure. I know what I read and posted.
-KvalCOm maybe you should take a reading comprehension class . What does my post have to do with past events... It has to do with my post disappering.

OpenZine I bet my post count says 180 now. What is up with you counting posts? The post count is the total for the user not the post number for that user. It is the total and all posts update to reflect that total.

OpenZine we've just checked - none of your posts have been removed or Nullified (which is what would have happened in a comments board), we've never gone around deleting posts for no reason and as we've check, there have been only 12 posts to this board up to when I write this.
If you want proof - go check the thread you are ACTUALLY talking about, http://www.activewin.com/awin/comments.asp?ThreadIndex=10880&Group=2
