My Designs

Over the last few years I have designed many websites for friends, family and on-line news websites.

I began my first designs using an early version of Macromedia Flash (Which was then called Futuresplash) but over the last couple of years I have started to design purely in HTML.

I have won many awards for my website designs, you can see most of them over on the right.

My main aim is to make smart sites which are easy to navigate.
Most of my designs are dark and moody (kind of like this one I guess), which is why I set up Dark-Design with a small group of friends of mine.

I haven't updated this area for ages so it is very much out of date. My websites (mostly ActiveWin.com) have been winning loads of awards and a heck of a lot of magazine coverage during 2000-2002. In the meantime before I get around to posted up some of those articles - here are the old 1999 awards:

ActiveWindows This well-designed site houses a galaxy of useful technical information about--but not limited to--Windows. You'll find articles, tips, FAQs, bug alerts, downloads, and reviews collected from around the Web. ActiveWindows contributors generate much of the content, but many items are reproduced from--or simply link to--other computing sites. The interface is a marvel of organization. For quick reference help and troubleshooting, check out the FAQs section, with categories for DirectX, Internet Explorer, Windows 98, and more.
