About Me

I was born in Cambridge, England on May 17th 1977 and I have graced the streets and pubs here ever since. I still live at home but at weekends I tend to go back to my gorgeous Girlfriend's (Gemma) house in Downham Market and spend my time there.

My main interest lies in computers, screenwriting and web designing, but I actually trained as a chef for over well over 2 years. I qualified as a  level 2 chef ( out of 3 by the way ). I love to write HTML and I have designed a large number of sites on the internet - Not only do I design these most of these websites, I have also become their main writer although I did recently step down from my work at the website ActiveWin which I set up in 1998.

I spend most of my free time writing and listening to music now a days, I also post replies to questions in the newsgroups and created, run and designed a website called ActiveIE 6 years ago- which was a site dedicated to Internet Explorer but this has since been replaced by the much bigger ActiveWin - a site which deals with Windows XP/Me/2000/98/95/NT tips, news and articles then there is ActiveDVD which brings everyone the latest DVD news from the US and the UK and finally ActiveXbox which deals with the Microsoft Xbox console via news and reviews. Since leaving ActiveWin I have started work on a new site called TopTechTips in the hope that I can go back to the original idea of ActiveWin before it outgrew itself. I currently design websites for Designer Dream.

My favourite music is Alternative rock, although I also like "some" dance music. I am a massive fan of the TV shows Millennium (Now cancelled), Family Guy,, ER, NYPD Blue and also of the Carry on films ( sorry ) although I prefer to watch science fiction or horror films. My favourite actors are Kevin Spacey and Lance Henriksen. My favourite actresses are Jennifer Jason Leigh and Christina Ricci, although Angelina Jolie comes a close third..

I came onto the internet about 9 years ago--with MSN doing various bits of hosting in the UK area, thankfully I grew out of all that crap and then went on to become a Microsoft MVP - Which meant that I helped out with support and questions in their newsgroups etc and get a whole bunch of expensive stuff for doing so. I ran into a problem there with the fact that Microsoft's internal staff didn't like the idea of me working on a website that gave out confidential and exclusive Microsoft news out, so I was told it was ActiveWin or MVP - I went with ActiveWin.

Do I work now? well if that's what you call it. I currently test games, review games, movies and products and design websites. My full time job takes place at Gonville & Caius College in Cambridge. I am now also taking part in an Open University course and will hopefully have a computer degree in a few years time.

For those of you who have been desperate to know what I look like, you can quite easily just go and check out my web cam area which has a whole bunch of images for you to drool over.
