Windows Me Tips
Troubleshooting Hibernating issues
Windows Me include a new & very usefull hibernate feature. To use it you must enable it by opening the power options applet of the control panel and click the advanced tab to enable the hibernate checkbox. When you hibernate your computer if you encounter any errors try to edit the 'nohiber.txt' file to see if it lists something. Then try to fix it and reboot your computer (using our quick tip restart method) then take a new look at the 'nohiber.txt' file. Now if nothing new is listed the hibernate feature should work. Please also note that actually some drivers/devices or even motherboards are totally uncompliant with the hibernating feature of Windows Me.
