Registry Editing Tips Restricting Access to Password Properties Options to restrict access to password properties are placed in the Registry in the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System A value set to 0x00000001 disables access; deleting the value or setting it to 0 enables access. NoSecCPL - Disable Passwords Control Panel. If the value is set to 1, the Passwords Properties property sheet is not accessible. NoPwdPage - Hide Change Password Page.
