Internet Explorer 5 Tips and Tricks

Remove The Favorites Folder From The Start Menu

Note: This is a registry edit.

"Go to:
Hkey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
right click right pane and add the following new binary value:
"NoFavoritesMenu" and give it this hex value 01 00 00 00
Re-boot

This will get rid of the "Favorites" folder in the "Start" menu."
