Logitech has just released a brand new driver suite for its QuickCam, ClickSmart and Pocket Digital imaging devices. The new software suite, dubbed ImageStudio 7.0 replaces previous versions and includes several new enhancements. It works with Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
The new LogiTray applet lets you quickly select the Logitech QuickCam that has to be used by default (in case you own several webcams) and you can change the camera settings in a snap. The new WIA compliant drivers let you use the build-in Windows XP digital camera wizard to retrieve pictures from devices like Logitech ClickSmart 310/510. The QuickSync mode for the ClickSmart cameras has been enhanced. A new component named 'Desktop Messenger' automatically checks the presence of updates for Logitech software. Among other enhancement Logitech ImageStudio 7.0 includes the Logitech IM Video companion that'll add video to your instant messenger chats (AIM or Windows Messenger). Finally the Logitech Galery lets you conveniently store, access and manage videos and still images stored on your hard disk.
