This should clear up user's minds on the Service Pack 2 release. A source close to Microsoft confirmed us the following, "MS puts this stuff up early on public servers so that their partners can get it. The 101 MB version is the "network" install version. Apparently, there are companies out there scanning MS' servers, looking for changes and new URLs that actually work. That is how this was found and publicized. When SP2 is released, there will be an Express version out for Pro and Server versions that will be much, much smaller: What this does is examine your system and only download the files you actually need. So a Pro upgrade to SP2 via Express would be only 10 MB or so, and Server and AS would be about 23 MB. In other words, most average users should wait for that."
"There is a cool new feature in there that will give ATA100 owners access to the full 100 Mbs transfer rate of that hardware; stock win2K is limited to 66. Official RTW is Wed morning, 9 am PST." "...this is indeed the final release, barring any bizarre last second issue. "
