Nokia Frustrated With Microsoft Over Windows Phone | |

It would appear that according to a recent report, Nokia is frustrated with Microsoft over Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform. The news comes in an interview with Nokia vice president Bryan Biniak who recently spoke to the IBT. Nokia has been announcing new devices regularly since Windows Phone 8 was launched, and Nokia are apparently trying to get Microsoft to think differently about Windows Phone 8. | ||

At our dying shopping malls phone store I asked for a Lumia. The young lady said we don't have any Lumina's. This is likely repeated at many carrier retail stores. Windows phones may be availbale but the sales reps don't know about them or don't care. Until Nokia and MS get down and dirty at the local retail level, few people will be aware that Windows phone exists. The TV commercials do not educate anyone nor help the market to understand Windows Phone is a real phone and not a tiny tablet. My biggest gripe is that the US's largest retailer's Straight Talk doesn't push Windows Phone at all. I found one selection on their website last week. Where are the Nokia 520's at? Make them available and people will buy them. No no buys what isn't on display or used by the sales people themselves in Wal-Mart. This is an ongoing situation. Nokia and MS seem to be doing things on the surface with TV ads etc., but they aren't digging deep enough to have their products take root in a big way.
