This appears to be new functionality which will be found in XPsp1 and 2Ksp3... It relates to controlling what is the default mail client, and so forth. This is obviously a major part of what Microsoft is doing with their OS to comply with the DOJ settlement...
That is this relates to middleware, but it's also full documentation on the functionality of the shell in this capaciy. |

Win2K SP3 has been in beta test for, well, forever. It official beta cycle started a long, long time ago. Getting it released is another story. I'm not sure what is holding it up. TL |

I'm on the beta team too. Frankly, I just gave up on it. There doesn't appear to be any real progress at Microsoft in getting it out the door, and I got tired of wasting time with it. I don't even recall getting an email recently. TL |
