Even the Windows logo itself hasn't escaped Microsoft's need for change. As expected, critics have weighed in on Microsoft's decision to adopt a more Metro-themed design for the Windows 8 logo instead of the traditional four-color, curvy boxes found in previous Windows logos. | ||

It seems Microsoft is really trying hard to reinvent itself. Its clean, simple, and is instantly identified as a window. Given all of the "under the hood" changes, I have to applaud their efforts. Now if they can only execute...

| The logo itself is irrelevant. The "windows" name itself connotes failure from the likes of Vista, zune, windows phone7, etc. Maybe MS doesn't deserve such connotation about windows, but it exists none the less. MS should change the OS name. The banks do it, comcast did it, to name a few. |
