What a naive douche. Back here in reality, 364 million PCs, the overwhelming majority of which run Windows, are estimated to be sold in 2011.
http://www.gartner.com/it/page.jsp?id=1786014 Even if Apply sells 80 million iPads this year, they will only have about 20% of device sales. Overall Apple's share of all existing devices will still remain less than 10%. The silent majority loves Windows, and we will eat up Windows 8 devices, XBox 360s, and Windows Phones once the marketing takes hold. |

#2 As far as companies are concern the only thing that matters is profits and Apple is more profittable than MS.
It is like saying that Ford sells more cars than Porsche...... While it is true Porsche is more profittable than Ford. Said that W8 is really cool...... I hope MS will not take features away before RTM |

Interesting analogy, but Ford actually brings in quite a bit more revenue and EBITA than Porsche. I think you can find good examples of both premium products out earning mass produced products and vise versa.
Market conditions have really favored Apple to this point, but it's had little legitimate competition. That will change with Win8, Honeycomb (or whatever Android is called at the moment), better hardware and hopefully better pricing. |

Spend a few moments and think about the 1000s of other companies that make billions of dollars because Microsoft Windows is running everywhere. Apple is the only company making billions because of it's ecosystem.
This is why Apple switched to Intel processors and common PC hardware, because it allows them to ride the coatails of PC ecosystem, and make very high margins. That's a great deal for Apple, and great deal for a few investors, but it does nothing to grow the industry as a whole. |
