SOFTWARE DABBLER Microsoft has revealed a beta of Silverlight 5, even while pledging support for HTML5.
The Vole has been sending out mixed messages about Silverlight lately. It has been heavily promoting its planned HTML5 support in Internet Explorer 9, Bing Search and Xbox 360.
However it has confirmed that it plans to release Silverlight 5 in the second half of the year.
Silverlight 5 will focus on media experiences and improvements aimed at business applications running both in and outside the web browser. The first public beta is slated for the first half of 2011.
