#6 got it.
When I set the system up, it was originially a gaming-only system. The cost of the new P6T Deluxe Board, i920, HD4870 card and PCP&C Silencer 1000 really ate into the kitty, and the 1GB triple-module set was on sale, so that's what I started with, and it was fine.
Then my WHS Server MB finally died after like 8 years (an old ABIT IT7-Max2 that served as a Server 200 Machine, Server 2003 Machine, then WHS Server Machine for years).
I took my then-current Intel BadAxe-2/E6700 based Main Desktop and turned it into the replacement server, and turned the i920 system into dual-purpose using dual-boot to a pair of Velociraptors. Since I needed more RAM at that point, I picked up a set of matching, but larger, triple 2-GB modules.
All are the Corsair XMS modules made for i920 triple-module systems.
I hated giving up my dedicated gaming machine, but I now have a killer desktop, and one hell of a WHS server to boot :)
