| Does anyone know if all versions will be available, or will it only be Ultimate? I did not see any reference to the downloadable versions. |

If I install it over my existing vista ultimate 64 bit system, how "easy" will it be to upgrade to the final release ....i.e. what is the probability of screwing up my existing system which is working well right now ???? This post was edited by senor_al on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 05:54. |

#2, I would not install it over your existing installation of Windows Vista x64.
Either dual boot the computer, or install a separate drive for the Win 7 RC install. Windows Vista x64 and systems designed for it, are particularly good and very stable. Finally, the Windows 7 RC will contain a lot of code designed to report issues to Microsoft. While the overhead won't be too great, it will still be there and it is not intended to day to day production use. I'd test it for certain, but never over your existing installation. |
