Mac,
Mozilla, to me, is nothing like Netscape 6.
If I understand correctly, Netscape 6 is based on a rather old build of Mozilla, and is not really the same browser. I never cared much for Netscape 6.
I started trying out Mozilla RC1 a few days ago. It is impressive. The tabbed-browsing and bookmark grouping features are quite useful.
Speed is good. I'll probably get beat up for this (oh, well :)), but I think it's as fast or maybe a bit faster than IE 6, but not quite as fast as IE 5.0.
The control offered over Java is nice as well.
It's not perfect, but it is definetely a contender.
Oh, and one other thing has been fixed that has always annoyed me about netscape, and I admired about IE. It _finally_ maintains HTML formatting properly when you cut chunks of a web page out and paste them into an HTML enabled email program. Netscape was horrible at this. Mozilla 1.0RC1 seems to handle this as well as IE does now.
It's also missing an effective "Send Via Email" option like IE has. I use this at work all the time, and really need it. It has a menu option that sounds like it does this, but in my tests so far all it's done is opened up an email and pasted in a link to the site. I want the _site_ to show up in the email body, like I can with IE.
I'm sure it'll get there :)
