| I'm one of the least coolest people around, so I should be just using Windows - is that what it is saying? Well I'm far from cool but I like what I like and I like both! Someone who does these ads for MS really needs to be shot sometimes! |

| More like: "Hey, if you want to spend 2699 for a laptop to look cool, go ahead, but you want to spend 699 for a similar laptop running windows and spend the other 2000$ on cool shoes and clothes and an iPod and going out a bunch of times to cool nightspots you aren't as dumb as a mac owner." |

Bunk... they found out Lauren was an aspiring actress "after" she was engaged to do the sopt - the suggestions that MS "lied" are BS.
Most young people in Lauren's position in LA county have a screen actors guild card... it's not at all unique. A huge percentage of young people toiling away at entry level jobs, aspire to make it big. |

"cool" in the context used in the ad was meant to mean "rich" - I guess I'm not rich enough to drop 2700 on a notebook.
Seriously... you ever meet many Mac people? Cool? You're kidding, right? More like "small" (fill in your own blank after that... minded, etc...) Sad, but true. |

| #5: With half of the poplulation on the left side of the bell curve MS needs to be send a clear message and not expect people to see Dune levels of complexity in their ads. Their ad camplains have, with the exception of the young kids, been poorly put together. It really doesn't matter if their ads suck or are effective since 90+ percent of new computers come with Windows preinstalled. |

I do not understand the point; of course she is an actress, I could not, neither I would but this is another story, stand in front of a camera and paly a role like her without some kind of training.
