Dungeon Siege Game Guidance

A new Dungeon Siege Known Issues Page has been posted, offering solutions and workarounds with technical issues folks have encountered in playing Gas Powered Games' new RPG. Here is some of the Known Issues:

Low Framerates - Turning off "vsync" can help improve frames per second. Users should check their owner's manual for how to do this for their specific card. Usually, this is accomplished in the advanced display properties, available from the Control Panel. Alternatively, this can be done by creating a shortcut to the Dungeon Siege .exe and placing "vsync=false" (no quotes) in the command line.
Random crashes - Users should double check that all drivers are updated (with the possible exception of NVIDIA, see below), and to check the readme file for other known issues related to their specific hardware. If that does not solve the problem, users are encouraged to contact Microsoft tech support since they are well equipped to handle these hardware specific issues. Microsoft tech support contact numbers and web page links are available in the Dungeon Siege manual.

I don't think I've ever seen an app BSOD my box more than Dungeon Siege does. Not even EZCD Creator... and that's a lot!
