Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang resigned Nov. 17 as CEO of the troubled Internet corporation, the company announced in a press release late in the day.
Yang, under a great deal of criticism for the last year in the wake of a botched merger with Microsoft, has decided to return to his former role as so-called Chief Yahoo upon the appointment of his successor as CEO, according to the statement. Yang, however, will also continue to serve on the board.
