Gates to take stand in antitrust trial | |

WASHINGTON--Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates is scheduled to make his first appearance on the witness stand next week as part of the continuing antitrust trial, the company said Friday. Gates is scheduled to appear following the conclusion of testimony from David Cole, senior vice president of the MSN and Personal Services Group. Cole, the first Microsoft executive to appear on the company's behalf during this portion of the antitrust case, took the stand late Thursday. His testimony is expected to conclude Monday. | ||

However, in this I think he will do much better than the last time.
Last time, the pressure was on to defend his company's practices and business style. Now, all he has to do is just explain why Windows is so great the way it is. I think he's in a much better position to that then the former. |

| That was a prliminary ruling. The issue hasn't been decided upon yet. MS has as much a case against Lindows as Pepsi would have against a soft drink company named Lepsi that copied Pepsi's recipe, and sold their colas in similar cans. |

#18, you think that because you think anything that MS does is wrong.
Lindows is in the wrong here. Weather you care to admit it or not, Lindows STOLE the name from MS in order to smooch off of Windows' success. Microsoft has every right to sue Lindows. And if Lindows want's it's legal woes over, all they have to do is come up with an actual real name, not something they stole off of someone else. You people that think that no matter what, MS is always wrong are really starting to peave me. You really need to get your head out of your ass. |
