NAB Attacks Microsoft's 'White Spaces' Device | |

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) exchanged barbs with Microsoft Monday after NAB suggested that a power issue with a Microsoft "white spaces" test device is an indication that Internet service providers should steer clear of utilizing unused spectrum for wireless broadband service. "Unlicensed devices are not ready for prime time," Dennis Wharton, NAB executive vice president, said in a statement. "This admission by 'white space' proponents vindicates beyond [a] doubt the interference concerns expressed by broadcasters." | ||
