| One thing I find really interesting about the article is... Melinda, though an amazing person, really owes her voice to being the husband of Bill Gates--in other words, in the public sense, she is who she is now because of Bill. Yet, on the other hand, as the article describes, Bill is who he is now because of her. Not that I know either personally, but I can see a difference in Bill's public face as well, particularly lately. The post-CES interviews with Gates almost feel like they're interviewing a different person... seemingly warm and affable, even humble. Maybe it's because he's getting ready to pass the torch or a mood swing or something, but at any rate, I was surprised. |

Very enjoyable and worthwhile read.
#3, Melinda has changed Bill. So has having kids. When you marry a great woman, she has the ability to change you in ways you'd never expect, and for the better! Seeing your children grow up before your eyes and seeing how you can guide them to achieving great things also has a very profound affect on you. (Speaking from personal experience.) |
