"There is still more work to do," confesses Microsoft's Robbie Bach
Microsoft have responded to reports that Xbox is fairing poorly in Japan, where around 190,000 Xboxes have been sold so far - 60,000 short of the 250,000 machines that were available there at launch.
But, despite slow sales of the console itself, Microsoft are saying that they're pleased with how well the games are doing.
"Japan is going well on the software side and probably is a little behind where we want to be on the hardware side. But we always expected things would be tough," said Xbox boss Robbie Bach in an interview with news service Reuters. "Microsoft has demonstrated patience and persistence there before and I think we will do very well."
