Microsoft kills Mac IM, updates Office for M | |

MSN Messenger for Mac is going to be replaced next year with a new IM product that will support AIM, Google Talk, and ICQ Microsoft is going to kill off MSN Messenger for Mac and replace the IM software with a new product. The company last night also released its latest software update for Office 2004 for Mac. Microsoft revealed its IM plans during a presentation at the Georgia Institute of Technology's IEEE Student Branch. The company plans to ditch its existing IM solution for Mac in order to develop and deliver a more advanced client. While details are scarce at present, the new Mac software is expected to appear by the end of next year and will support AIM, Google Talk, and ICQ and be compatible with Windows Live Messenger 9.0. | ||

| Talk about sensationalism! Microsoft is merely renaming MSN Messenger for Mac to Live Messenger for Mac. While we are at it, why not say Microsoft killed Windows XP with Windows Vista. |

| #6 - I use it as a computer logically ;o) as for the boot problem, I haven't had any problems with it at all so far, must be hard for you to understand, but do try! Again I never deny problems with Mac's, PC's or anything else - I just don't have a problem with Leopard but I see others do....just like I have more problems with my Vista 64-bit than any other machine I have had in the last 5 years, I just don't go on about it as these things happen. |
