the day i see the music industry pushed around, is the day I eat my keyboard.
contrary to mythology, steve jobs hasnt pushed them around on the price either. the music industry is quite adept, and talented marketers. You don't agree? Well, how else can someone extract $16 from customers, for a flimsy, scratch-prone set of 10 songs (8 of which you care nothing about). And they managed to do this for the better part of 15 years. That takes TALENT.
Reminds me of the other article on AW today, about how the iphone costs <$300 to make. Well, apply that same logic to a CD. What does a CD cost to make? A quarter?
For the record, I haven't bought a CD since 1997. And I'm 33 now. Oh, the sins of my youth...
