I'm a very basic cell phone user. Just making and receiving calls.
But I that iPhone is interesting me a lot. I just want to be able to make and receive call with the added feature of listening to music and video and store pictures. That's it. I wonder if Rogers in Canada will create a basic plan where you can make and receive call only. I'm not at all into SMS and I don't have a need to read email and webpage on it but like I said I would love to store picture and being able to zoom in pinching the screen, etc. |

CNN estimates first year cost with cheapest iPhone around $1200
second year around $840 to $900 with taxes. Would love to have it, can't afford it. |

Based on what I have seen the IPhone GUI seems intriguing but I do not buy neither SimLocked or AppLocked phones so this phone is a no-go for me.
Actually I am going to buy the new Toshiba pocket PC with WM 6. |

| WAlt Mossberg likes it, As the gadget guru for businessmen his endorsements help move product. Based on his comments Apple might sell a couple million of these things this year. I still think the slow At&t connection is going to keep a lot of these babies on store shelves once word spreads that the web is too pokey to be productive, and the initial facination wears off. Let me edit and print documents and spreadsheets, use a standard USB keyboard, and I'll buy one. I can wait a couple of years. I like my ASUS Z96j's 1680x1050 screen too much to downsize right now anyway. |

Also Mossberg is well known to be Apple biased. Personally I would gladly pay $600/700 for a SimFree phone but it does not make sense for one locked to any carrier.
Btw if I rememeber correctly there is also an "Activation fee". |
