Set focus controls for windows - especially Windows Media Center.
In 2002/2003/2004 versions of MCE, it was possible to place the MCE video window to full screen on one monitor - not just size it, while moving the mouse back over to another window and working normally in another display.
This is no longer possible to do - WMC in Windows Vista seizes control of the mouse and it is impossible to play it in a full screen window on one monitor while working in another display.
Microsoft made the change, I suspect, to prevent people from using screen capture software to make essentially losess/perfect copies of protected HD content.
While I understand the intent and the argument for making it this way - it does SUCK and one more "Could have done - should have done" item is taken away from us - again, because of thieves and torrent junkies.
Here's why this is so needed - say you have a decent multi-core system and it supports HD HDCP content. It used to be possible to play that content on one screen and then using a wireless VGA/Audio/KB/Mouse transceiver, support a remote monitor, KB and mouse - pretty cool kit! While most remote resolutions supported are only 1024 x 768 and 4:3 [on affordable systems], it was possible to ship the primary PC desktop to any location I wanted - even adding multiple receivers. This made it possible to support some very discrete installs and silent operation of some very slick set ups - great WMC/MCE experience on large screens and great PC use on remote screens. <Yes, I know... Nvidia has some tools in its control panel, but they don't do nearly as good of a job as XP/MCE did>.
