Until now, Microsoft has tried to downplay the fact that the Zune digital-rights-management system nixes the Windows Media PlaysForSure one that the company was championing until late last year. However, in an interview this week with Knowledge@Wharton, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer finally admits on the record that the Zune DRM system is the one in which Microsoft's putting its future eggs. | ||

I haven't had much chance to use the 3 days / 3 plays DRM, but I do prefer the all-you-can-eat music download service. Apple's FairPlay is the most flexible, but it prevents me from exploring new music. For $15 a month, I can download all the new music I want with very little risk.
I own both an iPod and a Zune. I keep my large music library on my iPod, and try out new music on my Zune. |

| #1 personally I prefer the bittorrent pricing model it much more flexible and the price is just right for my budget |

Best deal out there is yahoo music. $5 a month, all you can eat.
Yeah, the software is based on MusicMatch which lost it's edge about 5 years ago, but it is functional. TL |
