When Apple CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs the week of Aug. 7 showed features of the forthcoming OS X 10.5, code-named (and most likely also to be trade-named) Leopard, he showed no sign of lowering the strength of the reality distortion field that he's famous for generating around his product and technology announcements. If anything, Jobs actually turned the knob up to 11 by claiming that next spring's general release of Leopard would steal a march on Microsoft, delivering to Apple users the equivalent of "Vista 2.0." | ||

| well i'll pipe in as an Apple "fan" and say I was disappointed with what they showed for 10.5, other releases have looked good but this looked like they couldn't be bothered to do much with it. They are happy to get people working on every new bit of hardware they are doing but not the the damn OS that could have really moved ahead this year. |

I fully expect MacOS X releases to be let eventful than in the past, and I just don't think Apple can get away with charging full prices for .1 releases any longer.
Not since the father of OSX, Avie Tevanian, is no longer with Apple. They lost their biggest OSX brain when he left. TL |

#7, I never seen/heard the BEE some people speak of...
What is it people are speaking of? An ad with sound? [and yes... my speakers are on]. I'm using IE 7 BETA 3, Panda Admin Client Shield with TruePrevent and Windows Defender - and immunized with the newest builds for Spyware Blaster and SpyBot S&D. |
