Windows Vista Enterprise will be available only to those who sign up for Software Assurance, Microsoft's software-maintenance program. Some question the wisdom of this approach. Microsoft will face some backlash from a new requirement that would make Windows Vista Enterprise available only to those who sign up for Software Assurance, solution providers say. Windows Vista Enterprise is one of six versions of the Windows client upgrade expected later this year. The enterprise version, as well as the upcoming Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs will be available only through Software Assurance, Microsoft's software maintenance program. | ||

After the last debacle with Software Assurance (where it's assured that MS will get more money, but you won't actually get any software), I wonder how many will just say no.
