The Beta driver located on this page is only for customers that are interested in using the latest Intel® Ultra ATA Storage Driver. We plan on releasing the next production driver in Q2 2001. The English driver is 1.82 MB. Localized driver for 19 languages is 4.54 MB. Here is a feature list:

| (first post! j/k) I don't know if ya'll have used these drivers (the old ones, not the beta ones) but they can dramatically improve disk performance over the standard ones that Windows 2000 and ESPECIALLY Windows NT ships with. The Windows NT default IDE drivers only support PIO mode and no UDMA! (well, they do, but I've never been able to get it to work worth a darn) |

| according to Intel's http://support.intel.com/support/chipsets/storagedrivers/ultraATA/suppchip.htm">site they only support 810-850 chipsets. Sorry =( |
