Thanks Brian. See, we were not dreaming when we advised there was a critical update for IE last week. Read the comments from that story here. A collection of long-awaited security patches designed to plug several critical holes in Internet Explorer was yanked from Microsoft's site Thursday after the company found problems with the fix. Approximately two hours after the cumulative patch for IE was loaded to the company's Windows Update site Thursday, Microsoft "discovered an error and halted the distribution process in order to conduct further testing," according to a Microsoft representative. The company did not say how many people downloaded the patch, which was designated a "critical update." | ||

Yawn! Its been just over 20 hours now... and Oracle's Store is still down. And in case you didn't realize it... their STORE is a single click off their home page. Its one of the main 6 buttons at the top of the page... right between PRODUCTS and their logo... LMAO. How symbolic. http://oraclestore.oracle.com I continue to send updates to CNet, but haven't noticed a new story on their site yet. I'm sure they are busy working on it though. LMAO again. Unbreakable? Apparently, it is also unfixable too. |

Isn't this the patch that was reported to be there, turned out to not be there and everybody was trying to find it?
Or is that a different one? Ohwell, I didn't install it. I keep up to date with patches, but I still wait a day or two to see if anybody has issues. :) |

Well, it looks like the Oracle Store is back online... at least 27 hours later. Don't forget...

TL - Uhh... Why? It was barely mentioned, there was a lot of confusion over whether it was available or not. Didn't this make you go "Hmm, maybe I should wait?"
Sheesh, I swear most people just do stupid things purposefully so they can have an excuse to blame someone else for their actions. |

I'm signed up for the security mailing list, and I have it send a message to my cell phone when important security updates come out.
I never heard of this patch until I read about it on various web sites after-the-fact. |
