I have one thing to say to the Movie Companies...
WAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!
They thought they would get the opportunity to screw us for years with overpriced product like the Music Companies have with CD.
Not gonna happen. We are a smarter consumer these days when it comes to new technology, and we've learned our lesson from CD's. Never again will we allow ourselves to be 'taken to the bank'.
One thing in this story would really torque me if it happens, and that's the delayed entry of titles into the main reseller market to give rental stores a head start. To heck with that!
Part of my life's routine is stopping by Best Buy EVERY Tuesday to see what's new, and to pick up the new releases for that day that Best Buy almost always has on sale for a good price. If that changes, then I won't buy as many DVD's, plain and simple.
I have amassed nearly 300 DVD's in a 3 year period of time. If they want to screw around with a purchase rate like that, so be it. It's their loss...
