Well, not only does it NOT contain all the critical Hotfixes, but these Hotfixes are not listed on Windows Update either.
The only SURE way to know if you are up to date is to run hfnetchk.exe. It's no wonder there are thousands of MS servers on the net that aren't updated. They do such a LOUSY job of assembling the patches in a logical manner. What a mess... TL |

All the hotfixes are listed clearly on Technet at microsoft.com, and they have a mailing list to inform you of availability.
On a side note, Windows Update is mean for WORKSTATIONS not servers. It has never had any server updates on the site and never will. (At least, not in the near future.) Unless they are client-only, they will be released on Technet and announced on the mailing list. Pretty simple. |

Actually I think MS does a pretty good job of listing their fixes etc... Compare this to Apple. Hmmm who is doing a better job here?

| #12 - For many reasons, the biggest of which being that server updates are almost always distributed in an enterprise via certain policies and serious regression testing must be done before hand. |
