Windows XP Patch: CDs Recorded in Windows XP Have Missing Files or Errors | |

Thanks to Steve for pointing out a new (and pretty important) Windows XP patch that has been released: Microsoft has released a patch that will prevent some errors from occurring when you copy files or folders to a compact disc-recordable (CD-R) or a compact disc-rewritable (CD-RW). Errors may include inconsistent disc recording and only being able to read the disc its entirety using Windows XP. Download now to prevent disc recording errors from occurring.

#14 is sure right about the Windows Update site.
It has been totally screwed up since that change was made 2 weeks ago that took it offline for several days. I've found it simply can no longer be trusted. Someone hosed it up real bad. TL |

This article is over a month old. However the original hotfix has been recalled. FOr some reason the link on the microsoft download page HASNT been removed. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS, it is known to cause problems, if you look at the article it says microsoft is researching the issue. This has been at windows update but has been yanked. Once microsoft fixes the update it will be re-released. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
