2004’s The Incredibles was an animated flick from the teams at Disney and Pixar, which revolved around a family of superheroes and the everyday problems they face. It was chock full of action, suspense, and even some laughs along the journey. The Incredibles the game, didn’t fare as equally. While not horrible, the game based off of the popular movie fell into typical follies of platformers, and while it did let gamers take on the role of different members of the Incredible family, it never captured the essence of actually being a superhero, something that is still a difficult task to do in the videogame world. The next chapter of this superhero story is now out, and with Heavy Iron Studios and THQ behind the project, The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer has managed to improve on a lot of the first title’s shortcomings.
