Today when I came in to the office, I was made aware of an issue which stated that a Microsoft Representative was quoted as saying Windows AntiSpyware would no longer be available for free. The statement quoted in many forums is not true. As we have been saying since day one, Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware will be available at no charge to licensed users of Windows. Users who validate their Windows install through WGA will be allowed to download the AntiSpyware beta, as well as the full standalone version of AntiSpyware when it releases to the web. | ||

Adam, except MS Antispyware isn't bug ridden, and certainly isn't a piece of crap. MS Antispyware usually finds more crap than Ad-Aware does, plus you get the spy-ware blocker for free (as opposed to paying for it with Ad-Aware), Antispyware has more features, and SpyNet.
So Claria's threat has been downgraded. Big deal. It is still detected as spyware, and it still gives you the option to remove it. Oh, and you do know that Microsoft purchased the software and has done very little with it except change the logos? |

Adam, you should report that issue to the Window Anti-spyware team. I'm sure they would love to know about your unique experience.
