How about a Windows Messenger update that actually has some useful end-user features?
We recently went to Messenger 5 via SIP, and the thing drives me nuts. I HATE the interface and lack of features compared to AIM and Yahoo. TL |

| I do agree that Windows Messenger needs a refresh for corporate environment. MSN Messenger is too bloated for the coporate env and Microsoft is not going allow Office Communicator be separate because they want to add value to having Live Meeting Server. |

windows messenger is like microsoft's backup software, their disk partitioning piece, or even the included calculator program. These progs allow MOST users enough functionality to participate, and are designed to have the most impact on the most people. And if you want more, there is a clear upgrade path.

| Can't say that I agree that MSN Messenger is "too bloated for the corporate env". I work at a company that did over 6 billion dollars in sales last year, and many of us are very heavy MSN Messenger users. Some features are effectively disabled via the corporate firewall/proxy server, but many features work quite nicely. |
