Microsoft Japan's Xbox manager Yoshihiro Maruyama, commenting to Famitsu Xbox in a recent interview, promised an Xbox Summit packed with announcements on the level of E3. He wasn't exaggerting. Monday's Tokyo Xbox Summit had so many new and surprise titles that it makes one get the feeling that Microsoft may actually have a chance for success in Japan. Following speeches by Bill Gates, Peter Moore and Maruyama himself (Gates' speech was done through a video message that we uploaded earlier), Microsoft let the games, and their producers, do the talking. The hundreds of gathered press, investment types and third party representatives, were first treated to new footage of Project Gotham Racing 3, complete with live commentary from Bizarre Creation's Nick Davies. Team Ninja's Tomonobu Itagaki took the stage, showed the lengthy E3 Dead or Alive 4 trailer, and announced further Team Ninja support for Xbox 360.
