XP is a bust because one obscure news site says it's a bust with large and medium businesses?
Hm. A logical leap of a scale not uncommon on today's Internet. But still wrong.
XP is an excellent operating system whose commercial success has not reached that of Windows 2000 due to the obvious factors (which were, incidentally, mentioned in the article you referred to) of a slowing economy and general happiness in the business world with its predecessor. In other words, businesses are asking "Why upgrade to XP from 2000" and further, "Even if I wanted to upgrade from 2000 to XP, I don't have the cash to do it!". And they are substantially right; XP is not a compelling upgrade for most users of Windows 2000. XP is a superior OS, but it is not compellingly so for those in a business environment.
But MS realizes this! That is WHY they are marketing XP primarily to home users, who mostly use 95, 98, and ME. And for them, XP is the most compelling upgrade ever.
